How To Apply to the bucks county school of Beauty Culture

Students must be at least 16 years of age and have a diploma from secondary school, an equivalent, or be actively working toward earning a GED. To admit a student actively working toward earning a GED, a third party independent service administers a federally approved Ability to Benefit Test. The test is used to determine whether or not a student has the ability to benefit from training at this school. (Students who pass the test, according to the standards set, may be admitted in lieu of the High School diploma or its equivalent.) All students must receive their GED prior to completing the AST program or any program at BCSBC. (list of area GED Testing Centers)

Incoming Student Transfer Policy: The Bucks County School of Beauty Culture does not actively solicit students currently enrolled in another school. The school will conduct a suitability interview and explain the options students have by attending here. This school formats its structured programs on the basis of teaching the job skills necessary to become a profitable professional and does not have earning clock hours or licensing, as it’s ultimate goal. Candidates are encouraged to take advantage of the job skill courses that are available, thereby participating in a structured environment. Additionally, a candidate must have their earned hours transferred from their previous school on the forms and in the manner appropriate to the Pennsylvania State Board of Cosmetology. Students are treated like a new student with respect to charges for any courses or hours remaining after transfer. Candidates will also be responsible for having a doctor sign the "Application for Enrollment".
